Every day this month I'm going to feature a current comic book art "star," someone whose work I absolutely love.

I'm mostly going to try to keep from the biggest names as much as possible, because, really, do I need to talk more about the awesomeness of JH Williams, Frank Quitely and Darwyn Cooke? Here's the archive of the artists mentioned so far!

Here's a Croatian artist who I think should be doing more work in America than he has so far.

Like the first artist I mentioned this month, Frank Espinosa, Sudzuka began working in the field of animation in Croatia.

Ultimately, he began working with the awesome Croatian comic creator, Darko Macan, and soon, Sudzuka was working on American comic books, starting with a book he co-created with Jamie Delano, the twisted Outlaw Nation.

Here, Sudzuka demonstrated the style that would be consistent throughout his work - a clear, almost cartoony straightforward style of character design, with a clear sense of how to tell a story. Sudžuka's is exceptional in its clarity.

Next, Sudžuka worked on a mini-series with writer Andy Diggle about John Constantine's ancestor, Lady Constantine.

Next, Sudzuka got probably his biggest piece of comic work yet, as he followed in the footsteps of book co-creator, Pia Guerra, who has a similar straightforward style of art, in the pages of Y the Last Man, where Sudzuka worked as a sort of back-up artist, drawing a total of 20% of the issues in total.

After his Y work, Sudzuka did some work for a French publisher on the title L'Histoire Secrete.

Sudzuka is also doing a weekly Croatian comic strip with Darko Macan called Martina Mjesec...

Currently, he is drawing a mini-series for Vertigo about John Constantine's longest living friend, Chas Chandler with writer Simon Oliver.

Sudzuka should be doing a lot more work for American comics! Bigger stuff, too!
