Hello and welcome to Shelf Porn, our weekly glance into one fan's collection. Today's collection comes from Robert in Canada, who shows us his comics, graphic novels and more.

If you'd like to see your collection featured here on Robot 6, you can find complete details at the end of this post.

And now here's Robert ...

Hello, my name is Robert. I’m a French-Canadian. I started collecting comics around the summer of 1992. To this day, I have exactly 4819 comic books of various sorts (single issues, trade paperbacks, hardcovers). I’m mainly into Marvel super heroes since 73% of my collection comes from this publisher. The remaining 27% consists of titles published by Image, DC, Dark Horse, IDW, Valiant, Harris, Dynamite, Topps, CrossGen, Comico, etc. It’s still growing since I follow from 20 to 30 ongoing series per month. Enjoy the tour!

First stop is a bookshelf of oversized hardcovers displayed with Eaglemoss’s Marvel figurine collection.

I’m a big cosmic fan so I regrouped similar-themed statues with the whole Annihilation saga. It’s a shame the Annihilators: Earthfall mini-series didn’t get the oversized treatment. Other than that, you can see the beginning of my Avengers books.

Avengers-themed figurines along with hardcovers of various characters. In this picture, Valkyrie is protecting Thor with her sword from the wizardry of the Enchantress!

I regrouped Marvel events in chronological order. Same thing for the Marvel Zombies stuff. I hope Infinity War and Infinity Crusade (and the more recent Fear Itself) will also be published in the Omnibus format. On this shelf, you can see some stunning Spider-Man related statues.

My Eaglemoss collection is completed with various villains, Daredevil-centric characters and a few X-Men. On the hardcovers side, Spider-Man, Thanos and Thor are there with the Ultimate line.

Second stop is a bookshelf of hardcovers in different formats.

DK’s slipcases encyclopedia’s are pretty cool to display.

Continuation of the Ultimate line and beginning of X-Men books.

Look, here comes Batman after all those X-Men related books!

Here are the last oversized hardcovers coming this time from various publishers. Adam Warlock is my favorite character so I had to get the two Marvel Masterworks volumes.

The Marvel Premiere Classic was a pretty cool format of which I have a few books.

It’s kind of fitting that there’s a real spider in this picture, don’t you think? On another note, you can find Abnett & Lanning’s excellent run on the Guardians of the Galaxy along with various Premiere Editions.

This shelf is a good example of some of my favorite characters (Daredevil, Punisher, Spider-Man), writers (Jason Aaron, Brian Michael Bendis, Mark Millar) or artists (Frank Cho, Steve Dillon, Terry Dodson, Cary Nord, Esad Ribic, John Romita Jr., Mark Texeira).

Third stop is a demonstration that I need another bookshelf since my remaining hardcovers are in a closet!

A Marvel DK encyclopedia and some titles in French by another favorite of mine: illustrator Enrico Marini. I’ve read a lot more European comics but I just can’t collect them all.

Various Icon, DC and Vertigo books of writers or artists that I like to follow.

End of the line for the hardcovers. Grendel is a great character. I pretty much have all the stories featuring him.

This shelf is completed with board games. RISK 2210 A.D. is the most fun among those. I have the tournament extensions; aliens are attacking!

Fourth stop for the shelves fanatics is the majority of my CD’s, DVD’s (mostly music related) and Blu-ray’s. The CD’s are classified by language in alphabetical order from André Dédé Vander to Zébulon in French and from Alec Empire to Wordburglar in English. The Blu-ray’s are classified in chronological order from Planet of the Apes (1968) to Thor: The Dark World (2013).

Fifth stop is a bookshelf with some CD’s and all my trade paperbacks.

Marvel is also in predominance here with books like the Avengers, Captain Marvel, Colossus: God’s Country, the Earth X saga, Ghost Rider, Guardians of the Galaxy, the Infinity trilogy, etc.

On a side note, don’t worry; I don’t have those tendencies…

Thor is another character that I follow quite regularly. I have Simonson and Jurgens whole runs in the TPB format. You can also see a few classics on the DC side.

If you haven’t noticed yet, Jim Starlin is among my favorites. Wyrd, the Reluctant Warrior is right there at the end!

Sixth stop are the last shelves with my CD’s and Blu-ray’s which are patrolled by a Cobra Officer and a Cobra Android Trooper! The computer screen features the Collectorz software I use to catalogue my comics collection. That’s why I had those statistics at the beginning.

Last stop are my 31 boxes of single issues. One third of that is composed of Spider-Man comics. I have almost every issue featuring the 616 Spidey since 1992. Other characters or series that are in those boxes in great numbers include the following (in order): Avengers, Hulk, Spawn, Savage Dragon, X-Men, Daredevil, Star Wars, Ghost Rider, Silver Surfer, Punisher, Venom, Warlock, G.I. Joe, Thor, Nova, Captain Marvel, Dreadstar, Green Lantern, Transformers, Guardians of the Galaxy, Grendel, X-O Manowar, Morbius, Batman…

Added bonus: for your enjoyment, some miscellaneous stuff that isn’t on shelves!

1. Take some photos and save them as jpgs.

2. Write up a little something about your collection.
