An all-new "X-Men: Apocalypse" trailer has arrived, causing a frenzy among X-Fans eagerly awaiting the '80s mutant romp.

Packed with amped-up action, some new faces and a moving soundtrack, the most-recent look at director Bryan Singer's new film has a lot to chew on. With that in mind, we've watched ( and re-watched, and re-watched!) the trailer in order to highlight its biggest, and most important moments.

The Birth of Apocalypse

En Sabah Nur rises! There's been much talk about Apocalypse's roots in ancient Egypt, but this is the first time we've actually caught a glimpse of the young mutant's transformation into the big blue goliath as we know him. The scene in the trailer confirms that an origin will be shown at some point in the movie, possibly linking the post-credits "Days of Future Past" appearance to the hulking mutant we see in the rest of the film. As for the clan that's enabling the transformation -- will they play a role in the larger context of the film?

Disaster Movie Mayhem

Upon announcing the film, Bryan Singer was quick to compare "Apocalypse" to a sprawling "disaster movie" -- and this trailer is probably the best example of that statement to date. Between firing rockets, exploding mansions and cities in flames, this trailer doesn't hold back on the destruction, indicating that this "X-Men" outing will have major ramifications for the ('80s) world as we know it. This truly is an "X-Men: Apocalypse."

Mystique Takes Charge

Gone are the days of a conflicted Mystique. If anything, she seems to be the clear commander of the X-Men in this film. Declaring "Let's go to war," Mystique seems to be the tactical chief of the X-Men this time around -- which also makes her one of Apocalypse's main targets. Considering Jennifer Lawrence's astronomical stardom and confirmation that this is her last X-movie, could this be the end of Mystique? Serving as the face of the X-Men, that certainly puts her in a vulnerable position, and Apocalypse looks to already be taking matters into his own hands...

Mutant vs. Mutant

It's okay, Marvel, Fox's mutants are having their own "Civil War." The trailer presented us with several mutant showdowns as Apocalypse's Horsemen -- Magneto, Psylocke, Archangel and Storm -- squared off against various X-Men in a sweeping mutant vs. mutant brawl. The trailer promises a major clash between mutants in face-offs like Archangel vs. Nightcrawler, Beast vs. Psylocke, Cyclops vs. Storm, and plenty more. This movie doesn't only introduce a ton of mutants, it has them fighting one another in perhaps the most comic book-y fashion we could hope for.

Havok Makes a Comeback

Havok's not sitting this one out, that's for sure. Yeah, we got to meet Lucas Till's Alex Summers in the last trailer, but this is the first time we've seen him use his powers -- and boy does he use them. In one of the major battle shots of the trailer, Havok is shown releasing one of his energy blasts, declaring to fans that the (other) Summers brother is playing a bigger role this time around. But that leaves us asking, will they address his brotherly connection to Scott Summers a.k.a Cyclops, or perhaps give a reason for the age gap?

Directed by Bryan Singer, "X-Men: Apocalypse" hits theaters on May 27.
