300: Rise of an Empire producer Mark Canton has another epic in the works: Deadline reports he'll sheppherd the Liquid Comics and Graphic India digital comic The Sandhu to the screen.

Here's how Liquid Comics describes the character:

James Jenson, A British soldier whose family is brutally murdered by a corrupt superior officer, seeks refuge with the Indian mystics known as Sadhus. Years later, now trained in their supernatural arts, Jenson must decide whether to use his newfound powers for enlightenment as they are intended, or for revenge against the people who murdered his family.

A division of Liquid Comics, Graphic India creates superhero stories distributed digitally. This new film will be based on the upcoming offering Warrior: Revenge of The Sadhu, but the property actually has roots going back to the days when the company was known as Virgin Comics. That first volume was penned by Gotham Chopra, who co-wrote the film script with Sharad Devarajan.
