Undercover cops and out-and-out best pals Schmidt and Jenko look ready to jump on the street again.

Following the success of 22 Jump Street, Deadline reports Sony Pictures is officially moving forward with a third round in the R-rated comedy series. The Jump Street sequel will be scripted by Rodney Rothman, who was one of the writers behind 22 Jump Street. It's expected that Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill will reprise their roles.

But what about Christopher Miller and Phil Lord? The co-directors responsible for the first two Jump Street movies, as well as this year's massively popular The LEGO Movie, are said to be producing and overseeing the development of the 23 Jump Street script, but have not committed to directing. However, Deadline says the director gig is theirs if they want it.
