The J.J. Abrams-produced "10 Cloverfield Lane' delivers an apocalyptic public service announcement that ends (once again) with John Goodman's disturbingly matter-of-fact warning: "Something's coming."

Referred to by Abrams as "a blood relative of ‘Cloverfield,'" the sci-fi thriller stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead as a woman who, after surviving a car accident, awakes in an underground shelter. There she struggles to learn the horrifying truth about the outside world while living with her "rescuer" (Goodman) and his neighbor (John Gallagher Jr.).

Directed by Dan Trachtenberg, "10 Cloverfield Lane" opens Friday nationwide.
